A programme for the Pageant of Unitarian History held in Gorton by The Manchester District Association of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches.
It was held at Brookfield Church Field , Gorton on July 7th 1951
The pageant features famous historic events in the life of Unitarian churches, from 1612 to modern times. Most of the events featured relate to events in the Manchester area.
The programme details all the scenes and lists the various participants in each. Also included are the words of the hymns that were sung as part of the pageant and the names of The Queens from the various churches in the area.
The back cover lists all the people, churches, companies etc who helped in the organisation of the pageant.
It has 8 pages, plus covers, size 21 x 17cm. Printed covers with typewritten inside pages.
The programme has been used and so there is some wear. There is a central crease and it has been punched so it could be put in a folder. Overall it is in good condition.
A very interesting item for collectors of Festival of Britain and Unitarian Church history.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
