This set of cards showing pictures of Animals of the Countryside and was issued with John Players Cigarettes in 1939.
They are a full set of 50 original cards, each has an illustration of an animal on the front and a brief description on the back. The set features a wide variety of the wild animals and reptiles found around Great Britain.
The cards are stuck in the original album that you bought from Players specifically for this set. The description on the back of the cards is printed alongside each card. There is a list of the animals featured in the set inside the front cover and each card has a decorative frame.
The set features a wide range of animals and so this set is very informative about British wildlife.
The cards are all original and approx 6.5 x 3.5cm in size, the album is 18.5 x 12.5cm with 20 pages.
The album covers are a little grubby but overall the set is in good condition.
