A large matchbook advertising Fred Bentley Ltd Oysters & Shellfish.
Branded as Fred Bentley Ltd it appears to follow on from the founder in 1916, Bill Bentley, but predates the renaming to Bentley's Oyster Bar.
The matchbook shows the branches as the current Swallow Street, London and a 2nd branch at 1 Piccadilly Place.
Unusually large size of 95 x 95mm. It still contains all the original matches.
There is nothing to give an age but looking at the design and the company naming etc I would guess it dates from the 1940's.
Slight wear and staining but overall it is in good condition.
