A monochrome postcard titled Oakham,--Butter Cross. Good view showing the Butter Cross in Oakham Market Place with the Church in the distance. A lovely old view.
Published by E.T.W. Dennis & Sons Ltd and has the initials ETWD on the front of the card.
It has an undivided back and so that side could only be used for the address of the recipient. The sender has written the message on the front of the card. This appears to be a response to an advert and as far as I can make out it refers to Goss crested china.
The card was posted in Newcastle Upon Tyne to an address on Mansfield Road, Nottingham in September 1903.
A little grubby but overall the card is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
