An original ivory colour door knob from the 1940's, complete with rose.
I have put the age as the 1940's, but it could be earlier as the ivory colour was very popular in the 1930's.
Made of a beautiful ivory coloured urea formaldehyde resin it has an inset domed section. The rose has 2 holes for fixing.
This knob has a screw fixing and so will not turn.
4.8cm diameter and a projection of 5cm, including rose. The rose is 5.5cm diameter. The fixing screw is 2.3cm long. Fixing hole centres are 3.6cm.
There are no maker's details but it does say Made in England on the back of the rose.
Good condition. It has been used and there is some light wear. I have left it 'as found' so that customers can see that it is authentic and not reproduction.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
