Original copy of I-Spy Butterflies & Moths.
This is a colour book in the famous and popular I-Spy series of books for Children.
An early copy published by News chronicle in the 1950's. Undated but the 2 completed entries are for 1955 and 1956.
The book features the wide range of butterflies and moths that are found throughout Great Britain.
On each page there are black and white or colour drawings of various butterflies or moths together with a brief description including habitat etc. For each picture there is a space where you can mark when and where you saw them and also answer a question. There is a brief introduction page.
I remember in the 1960's avidly looking around trying to spot things to add to my I-Spy books.
Size 13.5 x 10cm and with 48 pages, plus covers. 16 pages are in colour. Paperback format.
It has been used and so some of the items have been completed. The record page has also been completed. On the back cover the previous owner has marked the I-Spy books he or she has bought. There is the usual wear from use with some grubbiness but overall in pretty good condition.
