This is a genuine Clothing Ration Book issued in 1947 in the period of rationing after World War 2. The book was issued in Poole to A W Morson of Wesley Manse, Parkstone Road.
The book was needed to buy clothes when rationing continued after the end of the war. There are 3 different page colours to stop people using up all their coupons at once. People were only allowed to use one colour at a time.
It has been used and 2 complete pages of coupons remain plus part of a 3rd page. The covers are intact.
Size 13.5 x 9cms.
Although well used the condition is good for a document of this type and age.
A very interesting piece of original World War 2 social history.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
