These original cigarette cards showing pictures of 3 of the Channel Islands were issued by British American Tobacco, BAT, in 1938.
Entitled Guernsey, Alderney & Sark, Past and Present, Second Series, they show the islands as they have changed over the years. Some pictures are from the 1930's but many show the islands at various times in the past.
The front of the cards show a picture of the island with a description of the scene on the back of the card.
This is the 2nd series of this subject, the 1st series is listed separately.
It is a full set of 48 original cards.
Size 80 x 65mm, most are coloured but some are sepia pictures.
There is some wear commensurate with the age of these cards but overall the set is in good condition.
