Two items from the 1950's or 60's made under the Worcester Ware Brand by Metal Box. These are a cigarette box and an ashtray both of which are a stylish combination of black glass and 2 colour printed metal. Both still have their original boxes which describe the items as being "printed in a contemporary design".
The cigarette box has a glass base, the lid is metal which is 2 colour printed on the outside and single colour printed on the inside. It is 115 x 90mm and 35mm high to top of lid.
The ashtray is glass set in a 2 colour printed metal base. The ashtray is removeable from the base, presumably to allow the glass dish to be washed separately from the metal base. On the underside the reference 6MB is printed together with Made in England. Overall it is 130mm diameter and 35mm high.
Both items are in good condition. The boxes are showing some signs of wear with a tear to the opening flap of the box for the cigarette box.
