This blotter was issued by the Yorkshire Penny Bank for use in their Altofts Common Branch that was located at the Altofts Colliery.
The blotter gives details of the branch opening hours, (1 day a week for 1 hour) it also gives the name of the Local Actuary, Mr Albert L Cox. The reverse is the usual pink blotting paper.
Size 155 x 100mm. They have never been used and so are in good condition, although there is slight rounding of the corners.
These are interesting pieces of mining and banking ephemera as well as bringing back memories of the area.
