Original auction sale particulars for "Freehold Residence and Grounds" at Tatenhill, Staffordshire. The property is not named but from the photograph it appears to be Croft House in Main Street, Tatenhill.
The auction took place at The White Hart Hotel, Burton on Trent in July 1918. It comprises 5 printed pages plus 1 blank page in a thin card cover.
The property was for sale as 3 lots, the main house and "charming grounds", two "well-built freehold cottages" and four "well-built freehold cottages".
The sale particulars give details of each of the lots that were for sale together with details of the tenants of the cottages. The description of Croft House and its grounds is quite extensive. A photograph of Croft House is included, although it has now changed.
This copy of the particulars was possibly used by someone who attended the auction as prices have been written in. The prices obviously bear no resemblance to the market price of the properties today.
The overall size of the particulars is 315 x 250mm.
