These are a pair of vintage bakelite shoe stretchers. They go inside the shoe and keep them in the correct shape.
I am not sure how old they are but I would think that they are probably from the 1940's or 50's, but could be older.
They have Made in England on the side and Patent Applied For but there are no details of the manufacturer.
They are marked as being size 9 - 10 and each is marked left or right.
They are in good condition, some light rust on the metalwork but this should clean off. I always leave things as-found then the buyer can decide whether to polish them.
Very stylish items that look good as well as being very useful.
