This is a very interesting 1939 guide to the French Riviera resort of Menton. Described on the front cover as being "The Pearl of France".
On the title page it is described as, Year 1939, and covers the 38/39 Winter Season and the 1939 Summer Season, so this was the last season before the start of WW2
It has a lovely cover picture of the resort taken from a watercolour by E Lessiev showing the tropical gardens around the resort. Inside it gives details of all the facilities of Menton and the surrounding areas, a fascinating guide to what was, and still is, a very fashionable resort.
There are 32 pages plus covers. Size 130 x 110mm. There is some slight wear to the spine and rounding of the corners but apart from this it is still in good condition.
Very interesting guide to a lovely area of France.
