This book of cookery recipes was published by Radiation Ltd, manufacturers of gas cookers. It was produced by them to promote their Radiation New World Oven.
The book starts with an explanation of "Some distinctive features, with hints on the use of Radiation New World Regulo-controlled Gas Cookers" and details all the benefits of the oven. This is followed by 32 pages of recipes for a wide variety of dishes. Finally there are another 18 pages of general cooking and household hints, all biased towards the New World oven. These include how to deal with birthday parties and picnic parties, how to make good coffee and how essential it is that your servants are properly instructed before a dinner party.
Overall there are 56 pages plus covers and it is 145 x 105mm in size. There is nothing to give a publication date but from research it was published around 1935.
The book has been fairly well used and there is some wear to the covers, the staples are rusty but intact. The inside pages of the book are all complete and in good condition.
This book was issued at a time when gas cookers would probably have been a novelty for the majority of people and so it does give a good insight into the advances in cookery during the period.
