An attractive circular bakelite cigarette box with a motif of a horse rider on the lid. Inside the box is divided into 7 sections.
The box was made by Starlight Ltd (London) and has their trade mark on the base. There is nothing to say when it was made but at a guess I would say it dates from the 1930's or 40's. It is airtight and has what was known as an 'Airlok' seal, which basically means that the lid is a tight fit.
Overall it is 80mm high and has a maximum diameter of around 85mm.
There are a couple of very tiny knicks on the edge of the top but overall it is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
