5 original unused billheads for Morris Jones, Boot & Shoe Maker & Repairer of Gwalia, Dyffryn. Not sure about the location of this as Dyffryn near Cardiff seems an unlikely location for a shoemaker.
According to the billhead Morris Jones was a stockist of CR Shoes and sold shoes for golf, walking, the river (boating), dancing and sport, quite a range of shoes. From Grace's Guide CR shoes were made by Comfort Shoes of Bristol.
There is nothing to give the age of these billheads but from the illustrations I would guess they are from the 1930's.
Size approx 120 x 90mm, there is some slight staining to some of the billheads but overall they are in good condition.
I am quite intrigued by these billheads as all the other items that came with them referred to the Northampton shoe industry. If anyone can throw some light on these I would be pleased to hear from them.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
