An old monochrome postcard of Christ Church, Oxford seen from St Aldate's. The building itself has changed very little but the type of vehicle on the road is very different.
There are no details of the publisher but it was printed by Stengel & Co of Dresden and Berlin. Many postcards of this period were printed in Germany.
It has an undivided back and the message was written on a blank section of the front of the card, very common with old postcards when only the address was allowed on the blank back.
Posted in London in 1904 it was sent to an address in Putney.
Slight rounding of corners otherwise good condition.
