A hand coloured postcard of Long Street and The Minster at Sherborne in Dorset.
In the foreground is The Conduit, which was a former washing place for Monks. The Minster is in the background.
The quality of the hand colouring is quite good on this card. It was published by Friths although there is no reference number.
According to the franking it was posted in 1904 and it has Sept 8th 1904 handwritten on the front.
The message on the back is quite interesting in that it is written in 2 directions, a common method at the time for getting a longer message on the card.
The card is in pretty good condition with slight creasing on the corners, most notably top right.
