A monochrome postcard of Cattistock Road, Maiden Newton in Dorset. The scene is still very much the same today, although all the overhead cables have been removed.
The card is a photograph that has been used as a postcard. The title is handwritten at the foot of the card and so I would imagine that it was taken by a local photographer rather than a larger commercial photographer.
It is was posted in September 1957 from Dorchester to Pau in the South of France.
There is a slight crease bottom left and some rounding of the corners however it is still a very good view of the village.
