A Festival of Britain Guide to the City of Norwich that was produced to celebrate the city being appointed to be one of the host cities for provincial events during the Festival.
The book is a guide to the city and surrounding areas and appears to be intended to promote the city to visitors. In addition there is a programme of the events that were taking place in the city as part of the provincial festival.
In total there are 208 pages, about 95 of these are adverts for businesses in the city and surrounding areas whilst the remainder describe the city, it's history, surroundings and it's industry.
In addition there is a day by day guide of the Festival events that were taking place in and around Norwich. The Festival took place between 18th and 30th June and special events were organised every day.
Size 250 x 180mm with thin card covers. There is some wear to spine and slight bumping of corners but otherwise it is in pretty good condition.
A very interesting item for both collectors of Festival of Britain ephemera and those interested in the local history of Norwich.
