The book tells "The Bristol Story". It briefly details the history of the City but mainly portrays the life of the City at the time. It deals with all aspects of the life of the City, its working life, leisure, health and spiritual life. There is also reference to the visit of the Festival Ship Campania and an Industrial Exhibition that took place as part of the Festival.
32 pages plus card covers. There are numerous sepia photographs throughout the book and small illustrations of prominent people or buildings on many pages.
Very colourful front cover, which is credited to British Rail Western Region.
Size 245 x 185mm. Rusting of staples otherwise in good condition.
