Five Parr's Bank Ltd cheques used by the "Hinckley Urban and Rural District Councils, Joint Hospital Committee" in 1909 when the Hospital was a charity.
They are payable to different people, presumably for goods or services supplied to the hospital. All are signed by members of the hospital committee and countersigned by the Clerk to the Committee, John Preston.
They are 185 x 135mm in size and are endorsed on the back by the payee. They are also stamped as being paid.
There is some marking and creasing around the edges and the occasional small tear to the edges. This is not surprising as they have been stored away for over 100 years
These are interesting items of banking ephemera from a bank that no longer exists. Ideal for including in scrapbooks, decoupage or other projects.
