A nice unusual advertising leaflet for Co-op bread. Published by CWS it is in the shape of a loaf of bread.
The inside pages of the leaflet give a brief history of breadmaking and then go on to extoll the virtues of the flour that the CWS produce at their various flour mills around the country.
It continues by saying that the local Co-operative Societies use CWS flour in their bakeries (although many did have their own flour mills). The back cover has an illustration of the CWS Great Sun Flour Mills in Manchester.
No indication as to age but looking at the illustrations I would think it is from the 1920's at the latest, probably older.
It has 4 printed sides and overall it is 165 x 200 in size.
It is in excellent condition.
A really fascinating item of advertising and a good example of the Co-operative Wholesale Society's self-promotion.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
