Phillips, Ships that made History
This set of cards, titled Ships that have Made History, was issued with Godfrey Phillips Cigarettes in 1938. It is a set of 36 cards.
The set features famous ships from 1000BC up to 1934. Many of the ships are well known and include The Golden Hind, Queen Mary and the Titanic.
Each card has a picture of the ship on the front and on the back a brief history.
The set does give a good overview of the development of ships through history.
The cards are approx 6.0 x 5.3cm. The back of the card has an adhesive coating.
