The guidebook for the 1951 Exhibition of Science held at the Science Museum in South Kensington, London as part of the Festival of Britain.
The book begins with the background to the Festival overall and specifically to the Science Exhibition. It then gives information on all the exhibits included.
A very interesting guide as it explains the major innovations in science at that time, which of course have now become commonplace or completely overtaken by more recent scientific and technological developments.
The guide itself is 56 pages plus 28 pages of adverts for companies associated with the exhibition. Size 23.5 x 18cm with card covers.
The covers have some curling at the corners but overall the guide is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
