This is a lovely old holder for cotton reels etc and a different design to other ones I have had for sale. These were also made in a variety of colours and at the moment I have a green holder in stock.
This design holds 5 reels in the base and a further 6 on the top, held in position with little pegs. In the centre is a container for pins with a thimble on the top. The holder has an old cotton reel inside.
I think that these were made in the 40's and 50's, there is nothing on them to indicate this but they do seem older than the type with the clear base section.
