These Veret electric bed warmers are another good example of the use of bakelite and other early plastics in the manufacture of household items. They are bottle shaped and were first patented in December 1947 and so presumably they started to be made shortly after. From the details on the label Veret were based in London and it is described as a bed warmer and airer.
The black bed warmer is made of bakelite and is in very good condition.
The blue warmer is now sold.
The warmers are sold as collectable items only and are NOT to be used unless they are checked beforehand by a qualified electrician.
Overall size is approx 250mm long and 85mm diameter.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
