Metropole and Grand Hotels, Brighton
A good sepia postcard showing both the Metropole and Grand Hotels in Brighton. A nice view of the outside of the hotels with Brighton Beach in the foreground.
Both hotels have been extended since the time of the photograph but the bulk of the original hotels are largely unchanged.
The card was published by Teetgen & Co Ltd who were Tea Merchants of London and Brighton. Presumably the card was published to encourage people to visit hotels who sold their tea.
The card is unposted and undated but looking at the photograph I would imagine that it was published before WW1.
Slight foxing to front and back of card but overall the card is in good condition.
