This is an original poster issued in 1917 intended to make sure that the gardens and allotments in the town were being used as well as possible.
As this was during WWI the Parish Council was obviously concerned to make the best use of the gardens etc for food growing. The poster was printed by H G Stone of Wymondham.
Size 325 x 205mm. It has been folded and the back has been used for the drafting of what appears to be a will, presumably by a local solicitor. The 'will' is in the name of Robert Lucas although the name Joseph Springall(?) is also mentioned. There is a small hole in the top right corner presumably where the pages of the draft 'will' were fixed together.
This poster will be mailed folded on original fold lines.
A very interesting item for collectors of Wymondham and Norfolk ephemera or WWI ephemera generally.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
