These are a series of Year Books issued by Glanford Brigg Poor Law Union and Rural District Council. There are 18 copies, a complete run from 1911-12 to 1928-29.
The books give all the important information about the Poor Law Union and Rural District Council. They include calendars for the various meetings, list of the Poor Law Union Guardians, District Councillors, committee members and other officials, Council Standing Orders and Bye-Laws. In some cases these are broken down into the 4 constituent districts of Brigg, Barton, Scunthorpe and Winterton.
One (1923-24) has the name William Taylor on the front cover, he was the "Relieving Officer and Registrar" for Brigg District.
The sizes vary but they are around 125 x 95mm and contain 56 or 58 pages. The covers are generally a bit grubby and a couple of covers are creased but the inside pages are all in good condition.
These are a fascinating record of the Glanford Brigg area for the period spanning both sides of WW1.
