These cards were issued by Typhoo Tea and were included in their packets of tea. They date from 1936 and feature British birds with their eggs.
They are a full set of 25. On the front of each card there is an illustration of a British bird and alongside a picture of its egg. There is also a brief description of the bird and its habitat etc.
On the back of the cards is an offer for a pen. You had to send in 2/1d plus the labels from tea packets to get the pen.
The cards are approx 10.0 x 3.7cm in size and are part of a series of sets of this 'long' size, which presumably fitted into the standard tall tea packets.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
