This is a lovely set of large size cards showing famous characters from Dickens books. They were issued with John Players Cigarettes in 1914.
They are a set of 10 cards, each card has an illustration on the front and a brief description of the character the back.
The set features the most popular characters and includes amongst others Fagin, Nell, Mr Pickwick, the Artful Dodger and Mr Micawber.
The cards are approx 6.7 x 9.8cm. Being the larger sized cards they would look very good framed.
