Two very stylish tall glasses produced for the 1951 Festival of Britain. One has the Festival logo and the other the name Norwich. Presumably the latter was on sale in Norwich during the Festival.
The Festival logo glass has the Abram Games designed logo with gilt rings top and bottom. The Norwich glass has the wording Festival of Britain Norwich in white lettering amid a gilt swirling pattern, with gilt rings to the top and bottom.
Slender designs they have heavy bases to give them stability.
The Norwich glass is 19.5cm high and the top is 9.5cm diameter. The Festival logo glass is 16.5cm high and 8cm diameter at the top
They are in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. There is some wear to the gilt around the rim of the Norwich glass where it has been used, as can be seen in the photos.
Very stylish Festival of Britain souvenirs that will be a great addition to a Festival of Britain collection.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
