This pack was designed and printed by Simon Wintle in 1987 as a replica of traditional English playing cards.
They were printed by him using hand-cut wood blocks and then coloured with stencils.
This is a very rare pack, still in the original outer wrapper with the explanatory leaflet signed by Simon Wintle himself.
Printed onto medium weight card they have plain backs. A full pack of 52 cards.
The cards themselves are in very good condition, the outer paper wrapper has some wear from handling and from being opened several times.
A very rare and beautifully produced pack of traditional English Playing Cards. The outer wrapper states that they were "Made under the auspices of the English Playing-Card Society".
