A handbook published by Melton and Belvoir Rural District Council to give guidance to tenants of their council owned houses. It is undated but looking at who was the Mayor at the time dates it to 1958/59.
The book has 48 pages plus thin card covers and sets down the Conditions of Tenancy but also give useful advice on household and gardening matters.
There are photographs of council houses in various villages including pre-fabs in Stathern, which I presume are no longer there. In addition there are adverts for local companies who were obviously hoping to have the council tenants as their customers.
Size 215 x 140mm. Some marking on the covers and wear to top and bottom of spine, but overall in pretty good condition.
