A view of Penshurst Place in Kent. The view is of the old cottages in the grounds.
It is sent from a son to his mother and father in London. From the message it looks like he is there repairing furniture, he talks of it being "in such an awful state ..... It will take me at least 2 or 3 days to repair and repolish it"
Nice coloured card. Published by Photochrom Co Ltd, in their Celesque Series. Red penny stamp on reverse and Tunbridge Wells postmark dated 1918.
Good condition, slight rounding of corners, slight damage to middle of bottom edge but hardly noticeable. Tunbridge Wells has been written along the bottom edge but this is quite feint.
