A Raphael Tuck & Sons Oilette postcard of Southwark Cathedral. Issued in their 'Old London Churches' series.
The card is taken from a painting by Charles E Flower and shows a good view of the cathedral with people and horse drawn cart in the foreground.
The card was posted in London although the date of posting is illegible. The church did not become a cathedral until 1905 and it has a ½d stamp and so that puts it between 1905 and 1918. It was sent to an address in Stoneygate, Leicester.
There is some rounding and wear to the corners otherwise the card is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
