A monochrome postcard of Piccadilly, London.
Very busy scene with the street full of horse-drawn carriages and buses. Not a motor vehicle in sight, it is a very good picture of what this part of London looked like before motor vehicles took over.
Although the buildings are much the same today many of the businesses in the picture have disappeared, notably the Yorkshire Grey and Princes Restaurant.
The card is undated and has not been posted but from investigation the picture dates from 1907.
It was published by Valentines and has their reference 42872 on the front.
The card is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
