A colour postcard of Blackfriars Bridge, London.
Quite a busy scene with trams, horse drawn vehicles and pedestrians going over the bridge. The view today would be an awful lot busier.
The buildings in the background are different from today with De Keyser's Royal Hotel in the place of what is now Unilever house. De Keyser's Royal Hotel was a very famous hotel but lost most of its business during WW1 and so closed and was demolished.
Good colour card published by Shureys Publications in their Fine Art Cards Series. The postcards were included in the magazines Smart Novels, Yes or No and Dainty Novels.
The card is unposted and undated but I would think it dates from before WW1.
Slight rounding of corners otherwise the card is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
