This postcard shows the old pavilion in Victoria Park that was damaged during the Leicester 'Blitz' and then demolished.
Originally it served the Leicester Racecourse, which was on the site until it moved up to Oadby.
The card was posted in Countesthorpe in 1907 (I think, it is a bit unclear) and was sent to Miss Mitchell in Sileby.
A nice coloured card. On the back is a star symbol with the letters GD&DL inset.
Good condition with only slight rounding of corners.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
