An old postcard of showing a good view of The Town Hall and Town Hall Square , Leicester.
It is named as Municipal Buildings, Leicester, probably because The Guildhall was also referred to as The Town Hall.
The view also includes part of Town Hall Square showing the metal railings that originally enclosed it. There are also many more trees in the square than there are today.
There are no publisher details given, the handwritten titles suggesting it was a small local publisher. There is the number 20 (or 26) on the front of the card and so it would have been part of a series.
It is undated but judging by the clothes of the 2 street sweepers in the picture it dates from around the time of the 1st World War.
The card is in good condition.
