A postcard of Leicester Midland Station looking down London Road. This is the old LMS Station now generally known as London Road Station.
A good street scene, the buildings beyond the station were demolished in around 1975 and to the left of the photo is what is now Waterloo Way. Quite a different scene from how it looks today especially with the trams and the horse drawn vehicles.
Nice monochrome card. It was published by Spencer of Market Place, Leicester.
There is no message on the back and the card has not been posted. It is undated but it is likely to be from before WW1.
The postcard is in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
