An old colour postcard of St Mary de Castro Church and Leicester Castle.
The view is from the bank of the River Soar and appears to show a bowls match in progress in what is now Castle Park. Interesting to see that the area appears to be private gardens or allotments with quite a few garden sheds in the picture.
It has the Town Crest (as it was then) at the top of the card.
It is undated but I would think that it dates from before WW1. Published by A & G Taylor under their Reality range, reference number VG1556.
Slight rounding of corners and a little bit of damage to the top left but still in pretty good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
