An old postcard titled New Bridge, Leicester. This is the bridge at the end of The Newarke at the junction with Western Boulevard, where is passes over the straightened River Soar. The spire of St Mary de Castro church can be seen in the background.
The bridge was completed in 1898 and so the card must have been published shortly after that date.
The card was published by Valentines. It is unposted and the back is unwritten.
There is some very slight foxing on the front of the card otherwise it is in good condition.
