A postcard of High Street, Twyford. Quiet street scene that is a lot busier today.
Nice monochrome card published by E Watling of the Boot and Shoe Stores, Stationer and Hosier of High Street, Twyford.
It was sent by Rifleman P A Cullen, 3421 of the Queen's Westminster Rifles from Hazeley Down Camp which was near Twyford.
The card is undated but the Queen's Westminster Rifles were based at Hazeley Down Camp in 1916 and so I would imagine that is when the card was sent. Very interesting to have the details of the sender on the card.
The postcard is a bit grubby with some rounding of corners but is still in pretty good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
