Miniatures,a series of 25 portrait paintings
These cards showing miniature portait paintings were issued with John Players Cigarettes in 1923.
They are a set of 25, each card has an illustration of the painting on the front and a brief description on the back.
The set features famous portraits of prominent ladies starting with the Mona Lisa and including Madame de Pompadour, Sarah Siddons and the Duchess of Devonshire. Overall they make a very elegant set.
The cards are approx 6.5 x 3.5cm.
