Two bookmarks from Barking Central Library, Essex. Both are folded into 4 sides and have information about the library opening hours etc.
The bookmarks also include many adverts for local business e.g Prince's Drapers, J Cooper & Sons Undertakers and Freedmans' Accordian Depot. Presumably these adverts paid for the production of the bookmarks.
From references on the bookmarks one is dated April 1950 and the other June 1951.
The sizes vary but are approximately 195 x 65mm on heavy paper. Both are well used but are still fully intact and in pretty good condition.
Interesting items for collectors of Barking and Essex ephemera.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects, but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
