Flags of the League of Nations. National flags from around the world.
These cards showing the Flags of Countries in the League of Nations were issued with John Players Cigarettes in 1928.
They are a set of 50, each card has an illustration of the flag on the front and a brief history of the country on the back.
Interestingly the set features the flags of several Eastern European countries that were later swallowed up by the USSR but which are now independent countries again.
The cards are approximately 6.5 x 3.5cm.
Some wear commensurate with age but overall the set is in good condition.
