A postcard of The Kings Arms, Combe Martin, Devon.
This pub used to be known as The Pack of Cards because of the way it looks and because it was originally supposed to have 52 windows, 13 rooms and four floors to match a pack of cards. At one stage it was called The Kings Arms and that is the name shown on the postcard, but now it has returned to the original name.
The view of the pub is from the village street with a cart in the foreground.
Nice coloured card. No publisher named but it has A.J.V.I Series on the rear.
Unposted but it does have the postage shown as 1/2d, which makes it pre June 1918. It was printed in Germany and so it was probably pre 1914.
Pretty good condition, slight rounding and wear to corners.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
Postage is for UK only, please enquire for overseas postage.
