An monochrome postcard of the Britannia Inn and Langdale Pikes at Elterwater in the Lake District. The pub still looks much the same today except that it would now be surrounded by cars or tables with umbrellas.
The photo shows that at the time it was a Thwaites pub.
The card is an actual photograph published by G P Abraham Ltd of Keswick. It is unposted and undated and there are no clues to give an age but at a guess I would say it from the 1920's or 30's.
It is in good condition.
